WACF Director Bob Askins Retires

Robert Askins became Executive Director of the Wapakoneta Area Community Foundation in 2017. He replaced Larry Tester who had led the Foundation since its creation in 1989. As a former Wapakoneta High School principal, Bob brought great organizational and problem-solving skills to the Foundation leadership. He worked to create an effective website explaining the value and programs of the Foundation. He also saw a need to develop an online process for scholarship applications. He did research and found a vendor who replaced the former paper application process and developed an effective applicant scoring system. Fortunately, Bob has agreed to fill a seat of the Foundation Board of Directors where he continues to help guide the Foundation in the right direction.
