Ava Egbert, Ohio State University. Ava received a Niki Schaub 4-H Scholarship.

“I am currently studying mechanical engineering and I would like to get a job in which I can work with my hands and help the industry of my community running smoothly.”

Peyton Moyer, Bowling Green State University. Peyton received the following scholarships: Academic Team, Sheriff James Knoch, and Wapakoneta Community Scholarship Fund.

“My future is first obtaining the degree of civil engineering. With this in mind, I am hoping to develop urbanization and bring more efficient improvement in infrastructures. Whether that is roadways or buildings— my goal is to improve civil engineering.”

Tyler Stueve, Trine University. Tyler received a Niki Schaub 4-H Scholarship.

“My careers goals are to graduate from the University of Cincinnati in 2026 with a Mechanical Engineering degree. I plan on using that degree to help me find a good paying job in this area.”

Garrett Siefring, University of Cincinnati. Garrett received the Amvets and VFW Scholarships.

“While studying Nursing at the University of Cincinnati, I started working at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. In the last two years of working here, I know this is what I am meant to be doing. I love working with kids and their families during these critical moments of their lives.”

Kassidy Mitchell, University of Cincinnati. Kassidy received the following scholarships: Deborah Kleinhenz, Merle & Opal Miller, Steven & Marie Bilyj, VFW, and Wapakoneta Eagles.

“I plan to attend Ohio University majoring in English with aspirations of becoming a high school English teacher.”

Chloe Pax, Ohio University. Chloe received a Niki Schaub 4-H Scholarship.

“I am currently a Rhodes State nursing student. My goal in becoming a nurse is to help patients not only with their physical health, but to also provide emotional support during a difficult time in their lives. It is important to me that my patients feel as comfortable and cared for as possible.”

Kiarra Holtzapple, Rhodes State College. Kiarra received a Merle & Opal Miller Scholarship.

“After my graduation from Ohio Northern University, I plan to attend graduate school to major in school psychology. I want to make an impact on mental health in school systems because mental health advocacy is something I noticed was lacking when I was in school. I want to created safe space for students in the school building.”

Alexandra “Lexa” Steinke, Ohio Northern University. Lexa received a Wapakoneta Eagles Scholarship.

“I plan to graduate from Bowling Green State University with a bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory science and a minor in public health. After graduating, I hope to begin a career as a medical laboratory scientist at a hospital in Ohio. I hope to make a positive impact on patient’s lives by helping them receive accurate results and a proper diagnosis and treatment. ”

Cassie Shroyer, Bowling Green State University. Cassie received the following scholarships: Deborah Kleinhenz, Hardacre Family, and Wapakoneta Eagles.

“I am currently a senior nursing student at Ohio Northern University! I plan on working in the ICU at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima upon graduation. Long term, my goal is to become a Nurse Practitioner.”

Rylie Barrington, Ohio Northern University. Rylie received a Merle & Opal Miller Scholarship.

“As a student at the University of Cincinnati, I plan on majoring in mechanical engineering and becoming a mechanical engineer. I do not know exactly what I want to do in specific, but I want to work in the automotive industry.”

Nathan Metzger, University of Cincinnati. Nathan received an AmVets Scholarship.

“As a student at Wright State, my career goals are to be able to be promoted in the department I am employed at, move up into administrative positions, and help other people and be able to teach others how to benefit the community.”

Reiley Sevillano, Wright State University. Reiley received a Wapakoneta Community Scholarship Fund scholarship.

“I am attending the University of Cincinnati this fall studying interior design. In this field, I plan on going into the residential side of the career path, working on the design process of homes. My goal is to find an interior design company to work for through the Co-Op program at UC. I would be able to find internships in different parts of the country and help me decide where to start my career.”

Erika Lisi, University of Cincinnati. Erika received Layla Yoakam and Riverside Art Center Scholarships.

“The goals that I will achieve in life regarding my career will be getting a master’s degree and perchance a doctorate in Mechanical Engineering. I will be doing design work to engineer solutions to problems at NASA or other robotics ventures.”

Justin Zink, Miami University. Justin received the following scholarships: Academic Team, Ida Brown, Ben Stoll Heartbeat, and Wapakoneta Community Scholarship Fund.

“I am attending the University of Toledo. I will be studying health and human services in physical therapy. I will be attending the university for six years to then get a doctorate in physical therapy. As of now, I am looking into outpatient therapy after school.”

Lydia Manger, University of Toledo. Lydia received the AmVets and Wapakoneta Eagles Scholarships.

“I am very excited to be majoring in biochemistry at Indiana Wesleyan University. I plan to take my education to the highest level and get a PhD in an estimated 6-8 years. I have always wanted to get a job in the research field. I hope to eventually be a big part of developing the technologies of the future.”

Caleb Patterson, Indiana Wesleyan University. Caleb received the following scholarships: Deborah Kleinhenz, Freymuth-Sutton, Jason Strauser, and Wapakoneta Community Scholarship Fund.

“I am studying Nursing at Heidelberg University to earn my RN, BSN. After graduation, I would like to work at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus and be part of their Epilepsy Team.”

Maddison Springer, Heidelberg University. Maddison received the following scholarships: Carl & Imogene Atkins, James & Janet Stroh, Merle & Opal Miller, Steven & Marie Bilyj, and Wapakoneta Community Scholarship Fund.

“After earning my degree at The Ohio State University, I plan on working as a data analyst in professional sports—preferably in either the NFL or NBA.”

Ryan Sadler, Ohio State University. Ryan received a Wapakoneta Community Scholarship Fund scholarship.

“I have always been passionate about helping others. This interest rapidly developed when I participated in the W.I.N. internship at Mercy Health. I plan to specialize in behavioral health, providing complete care to those who need it. My long-term goal is to become a nurse practitioner in behavioral health.”

Isaiah Wachauf, University of Toledo. Isaiah received a Steven & Marie Bilyj Scholarship.

“My career goals are to one day become a criminal psychologist or criminal profiler. I aspire to work for the FBI.”

Audrey Sparks, Miami University. Audrey received the following scholarships: Deborah Kleinhenz, Jason Kline, Walter Menges, and Wapakoneta Community Scholarship Fund.

“I plan to attend Ohio Northern University and major in Early Childhood Education with the goal of becoming a kindergarten teacher.”

Riley Pack, Ohio Northern University. Riley received a Non-Traditional Student Scholarship.

“My future career goal is to attend Wright State University Lake Campus for the next four years and major in nursing. I plan to work in a hospital as a labor and delivery nurse or ER nurse.”

Madison Bailey, Wright State University. Madison received the following scholarships: Merle & Opal Miller, Steven & Marie Bilyj, Wapakoneta Eagles, and Wapakoneta Community Scholarship Fund.

“I am attending Edison State Community College in the nursing program. I plan to become a surgery nurse. I am excited to see what the future holds!”

Reagan Schmeising, Edison State Community College. Reagan received a Merle & Opal Miller Scholarship.

“I previously attended the Indiana Institute of Technology where I earned a degree in Biology and participated in their volleyball program. This year I will be attending Bowling Green State University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program to pursue a career in pediatric physical therapy.”

Taylor Paul, Bowling Green State University. Taylor received a Graduate Student Scholarship.

Mission:
To improve the quality of life in the Wapakoneta Area through organized philanthropy by:
Providing leadership and acting as a catalyst in identifying and addressing evolving community needs.
Distributing grants for charitable purposes in the areas of health, economic development, basic human needs, education, cultural activities, environment, and community services.
Assist donors in creating funds to meet emerging community needs and distribute proceeds in accordance with the donor’s intent.
Prudently manage the Foundation’s resources to achieve the maximum benefit for the Wapakoneta area in perpetuity.
