Many different scholarships are available to apply for. Below are the list of scholarships available:

Alvin E. Egbert Scholarship Fund
This fund was established by Pamela Egbert in memory of Alvin E. Egbert to provide scholarships to worthy and needy graduating seniors of Wapakoneta Senior High School, Botkins High School, New Bremen High School, Minster High School, New Knoxville High School, and St. Marys High School who want to pursue a two year or four year degree with a major in Agriculture at an accredited community, private or public university.

AmVets Post #333 Scholarship Fund
The purpose of this fund is to establish scholarships for the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren of living AmVets members or deceased Lifetime members, who hold a membership status of Regular, Auxiliary, or Sons and have consecutively been a member for five (5) years or longer.
Scholarships are available to graduating seniors with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 who are: A) Pursuing a two or four year college degree within the State of Ohio B) Attending a technical or trade school within the State of Ohio C) Currently enrolled in an Ohio college with a GPA of 2.5 or higher.

Auglaize DD Legacy Scholarship
This scholarship was established by the Auglaize County Board of Developmental Disabilities to encourage and support students interested in pursuing a career in the developmental disabilities field, ensuring qualified professionals are available to promote inclusion, empowerment, and independence in people with developmental disabilities throughout their life span.
A scholarship is available annually to a graduating senior in each of the following school districts: Minster, New Bremen, New Knoxville, St. Marys, Wapakoneta, and Waynesfield.
The scholarship is open to a graduating senior in each school district who plans to pursue a career in the developmental disabilities field and a 4-year degree from an accredited college or university in one of the following areas of study: social or human services, early childhood or special education, health, social or behavioral science, or other related fields.

Beckie Bell Bledsoe Memorial Scholarship
This fund was established by family members to honor & remember Beckie Bell Bledsoe. This scholarship is open to Wapakoneta High School seniors that attended Cridersville Elementary School for a minimum of one-year and have been accepted at a four-year college or university or two year associate degree program.

The Berg Family Scholarship
This scholarship was established by Berg Family to assist worthy and needy graduates of Wapakoneta Senior High School that are majoring in agriculture or agri-business.

Carl & Imogene Atkins Alpha Strength Scholarship
The Carl & Imogene Atkins Alpha Strength Scholarship Fund was established by the Atkins and Steinke families, the Alpha Cafe and many community members for a graduate of Wapakoneta High School who overcame significant barriers to complete high school. The goal of the scholarship is to award a graduate who, through his or her personal strengths overcame adversity and completed high school. The scholarship will be awarded one time per year and is not renewable.

Steven A. and Marie E. Bilyj Scholarship Fund
This fund was established under the Will of Stephen A. and Marie E. Bilyj to provide scholarships to graduating seniors of Wapakoneta High School intending to pursue a career in nursing.

Ida Brown Scholarship
This fund was established under the Will of Ida Brown to provide scholarships for students at St. Joseph High School and Wapakoneta Senior High School. Applicants must show financial need and be in the upper 20% of their graduating class.

Richard and Cindy Chadwick Scholarship
This fund was established by Cindy Chadwick to provide scholarships to graduating seniors of Wapakoneta Senior High School.

Marilyn and Richard Chadwick Scholarship
This scholarship was created in memory of former Wapakoneta High School music and art teachers Marilyn and Richard Chadwick. Scholarship is open to Wapakoneta High School seniors planning to continue their studies in the music or art fields.

CYO Girls Basketball Scholarship
This fund was established by a resident of Wapakoneta to provide scholarships to seniors or a past graduate going to college.

Jesse Doseck Memorial Scholarship
This fund was established by Amy Tester to provide scholarships to graduating seniors of Wapakoneta Senior High School. The first scholarship will be given in the spring of 2012.

Michelle A. Schulte Ewald Scholarship
This scholarship was created as a memorial to Michelle A. Schultz Ewald by her family and friends. It is open to graduating seniors at Wapakoneta High School who plan to pursue a degree majoring in Pre-K or Elementary Education at an accredited college or university. One scholarship will be awarded each year.

Paul E. Fisher Jr. Scholarship Fund
This scholarship fund was established by Jerry M. Hardacre, MD, in June of 1999, in memory of his friend Paul E. Fisher, Jr., one of the founding members of the Foundation and board member and secretary from the time of the Foundation’s organization until his death on June 22, 1999. The scholarship fund was established to assist worthy graduates of Wapakoneta Senior High School. The fund is administered by the Scholarship Committee of the Wapakoneta Area Community Foundation.

Freymuth-Sutton Scholarship
This fund was established by Krista Taracuk to provide an annual scholarship to a graduating senior of Wapakoneta Senior High School.

Jason C. Kline Scholarship Fund
This fund was established by Jennifer J. Kline to provide scholarships to graduating seniors of Wapakoneta High School.

Tom Kohlrieser Agricultural Scholarship
The Tom Kohlrieser Agricultural Scholarship was established by his family in 2021. The scholarship is open to qualifying graduates of any high school in the United States. The student may be studying any agricultural related field or welding/fabrication field. The student may be seeking certification, associate degree, bachelor degree or graduate work.

Riley and Jean Hardacre Family Scholarship Fund
This scholarship fund was established by Jerry M. Hardcore, M.D. to assist worthy graduates of Wapakoneta Senior High. First preference to graduates that are enrolled in an Ohio College or School of Medicine or Dentistry leading to a Doctor of Medicine or Dental Surgery degree. Second preference to Wapakoneta seniors that are graduating with Summa Cum Laude Latin Honors. No restriction of study, except must be a college in the U.S. that grants a baccalaureate degree.

Al & Gladys Heinrich Scholarship
Funded by a generous gift from Al & Gladys Heinrich, this scholarship is available to graduates of Wapakoneta Senior High School in the upper 50% of their graduating class who demonstrate a financial need.

Deborah A. Kleinhenz Scholarship
This fund was established through the Winona M. Kleinhenz estate in memory of Winona’s daughter Deborah A. Kleinhenz. The scholarships are available to graduating seniors from Wapakoneta High School studying in medical fields, including, but not limited to: nursing, doctors, pharmacy, physical therapy, lab technology and x-ray technology.

Sheriff James M. & Carol A. Knoch Scholarship
This fund was established by Jim and Eric Knoch in memory of their parents, former Auglaize County Sheriff James M. Knoch and Carol A. Knoch. The fund will provide scholarships to worthy Wapakoneta High School graduates that have participated in any recognized high school sport as either a player or manager. Graduates may be seeking certification, associate, or bachelor degrees.

Scott Lhamon Scholarship
This fund was established to honor the memory of Scott Lhamon, a 1988 graduate of Wapakoneta Senior High. Scott was interested in journalism, however, the scholarship is available to graduates with at least a 3.3 grade point average who were active in school organizations.

Sons of the American Legion Post #330 Jerry Mason Memorial Scholarship
The Sons of the American Legion Post #330 Jerry Mason Memorial Scholarship was established to help fund a college education for the children, grandchildren and great grandchildren of members of Post #330. Applicants must demonstrate good moral character and financial need.

Mary Place Baker Scholarship Gifted by Dr. Robert F. Baker
Established in memory of Mary Place Baker for deserving female graduates of Wapakoneta High School. Majoring in education, human medicine, animal medicine or fields related to physical, mental or spiritual health.

Richard A. and Mary L. Lowry Scholarship
The fund was established by Richard A. Lowry to provide scholarships to graduating seniors of Wapakoneta Senior High School, Indian Lake High School and Waynesfield High School who live in Union, Clay, Wayne and Goshen Townships in Auglaize County.

Merle and Opal Miller Scholarship
This fund was established by Opal Miller to provide scholarships to graduates of high schools located in Auglaize County, Ohio intending to pursue a career in nursing.

Arlene M. Metz Scholarship
The fund was established by Pat Johnson and others to provide scholarships to graduating seniors of Wapakoneta High School pursuing a four-year degree with a major in education.

Minster Bank Scholarship
Funded annually by The Minster State Bank, this scholarship is available to a graduating senior from Wapakoneta Senior High School with a grade point average of at least 3.0 who plans to pursue a two or four year degree in business.

Naylor Scholarship
Funded by Marian Rudd, a resident of Wapakoneta, this scholarship is available to graduates of Lima Senior High School, especially minority students, who are interested in careers in medicine, science, engineering or education.

Diane Inbody Pepple Memorial Scholarship
The fund was established by Frederick D. Pepple to provide scholarships to graduating seniors of Upper Scioto Valley High School.

Larry Sanders Memorial Scholarship
This fund was established by Jill Sanders and family in memory of her husband, Larry Sanders. The scholarship is open to graduating seniors from Auglaize County, Ohio as well as Botkins High School in Shelby County, Ohio. Applicants must have worked a part-time job for at least the previous six (6) months prior to the application date.

Niki Schaub 4-H Scholarship
This fund was established to honor Nichole Schaub. Niki lost her life in a car accident in 1991. The scholarship is funded by friends, 4-H clubs, businesses and organizations and is available to members of any Auglaize County 4-H club who are attending a university or technical school.

Jason Strauser Memorial Scholarship Fund
This fund was established by Rick and Judy Strauser to provide scholarships to graduating seniors of Wapakoneta High School.

James and Janet Stroh Scholarship
This scholarship has been established by Jim and Janet Stroh to provide an annual scholarship to a graduating senior at Wapakoneta High School. The scholarship is open to students who have been members of the High School Swim Team and/or High School Soccer Team for at least two of his/her high school years. Qualifying applicants must have a GPA of 2.75 or higher on a 4.0 scale and rank in the upper 50% of his/her graduating class. One $1,000 scholarship will be awarded each year.

Veteran’s of Foreign Wars Post 8445 Scholarship Fund
The purpose of the Fund is to establish a scholarship fund for the children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren of living and deceased regular members of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #8445 who were regular members of the Post for at least five (5) consecutive years.

Layla Yoakam Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was created in memory of Layla Yoakam by her family and friends. Applicants may be graduating seniors from any of the following schools: Wapakoneta, Bellefontaine, Botkins, Lima Shawnee, Indian Lake, St. Marys Memorial and Waynesfield.

Wapakoneta Community Scholarship Fund
This fund was established by the Dollars for Scholarships to provide scholarships to graduating seniors of Wapakoneta High School. The following scholarships are also awarded through the Wapakoneta Area Community Scholarship Fund:

Ben Stoll Heartbeat Scholarship – Students that have participated in Drum Line or Band for at least two years.
Barb Norton Scholarship – open to any Wapakoneta High School senior
Masonic Lodge Leland Stroh Scholarship – open to any Wapakoneta High School senior
Riverside Art Center Scholarship – Any Wapakoneta graduating senior
Roots & Shoots Garden Club Scholarship – Students that are majoring in any Natural Science field, such as gardening, farming, nature, etc.
Wapakoneta Lions Club Scholarship – open to any Wapakoneta High School senior
Wapakoneta Sertoma Scholarship – students pursuing studies related to the Speech and/or Hearing Impaired.
Pauline Menges Nursing Scholarship – Pursuing a career in nursing
Walter G. Menges Police Training Scholarship – Pursuing training in police/law enforcement studies

Wapakoneta Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 691 Scholarship
This fund was established by the Wapakoneta Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 691 to provide scholarships for the children of parents and grandparents of members of Wapakoneta Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 691 who have successfully completed their high school education. Applicants must contact the Eagles for an application at P. O. Box 1977, Wapakoneta, Ohio 45895.

Wapakoneta Rotary Club Scholarship
This scholarship was established by the Wapakoneta Rotary Club. It is available to any graduating senior at Wapakoneta High School with plans to attend an accredited college, university or technical school. Special consideration will be given to students who demonstrate a true financial need for the scholarship, are likely to succeed in their chosen field, and may be likely to return to the Wapakoneta community after graduation.

Wapakoneta Woman’s Club Scholarship
Funded by the Wapakoneta Woman’s Club, this scholarship is available to a graduating senior of Wapakoneta Senior High School with a grade point average between 2.7 and 3.2 who plans to pursue a 2 or 4 year degree.

Special Funds Scholarships

Non-Traditional Student Scholarships

This scholarship is intended for students who did not go directly to college after high school—students who went directly to work or began to raise a family. It can also include local residents who choose to make a career change that requires additional college education. Financial need will be a primary consideration for this scholarship. This scholarship is not open to current high school students.

Graduate Student Scholarships

This scholarship is intended for area residents who are planning to be new graduate students. This category is not included in our current scholarship options. Our graduate level scholarships are now renewals to students who received their initial scholarships as under graduates. This scholarship is for adults seeking a new graduate degree to enhance or change their careers. These may be college graduates, who may have been out of college for several years, but now want to earn a graduate degree. Financial need will be a primary consideration for this scholarship.
