The Wapakoneta Area Community Foundation administers a perpetual fund established by the Wapakoneta Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #691

The Wapakoneta Area Community Foundation administers a perpetual fund established by the Wapakoneta Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #691. This fund benefits the community parks owned by a municipality or the Board of Education and located within the area served by the Wapakoneta City Schools. Since 1996 over $214,000 has been granted from this fund to area parks and the Wapakoneta City Schools.
Grants in 2018 were recently awarded to:
City of Wapakoneta Veterans Park – $2,000 – Assist with the resealing of the walking/running path
City of Wapakoneta Water Park – $1,500 – Purchase of new chairs
Uniopolis Veterans Park – $1,500 – Park concession stand improvement
Wapakoneta City Schools – $6,000 – Assist with placement of rubber surface on the WES playground
