On June 8, 2017 the Wapakoneta Area Community Foundation met at the Wapakoneta FOE Aerie 691 with representatives from parks within the Wapakoneta City School District to distribute seven grants totaling $13,640.53
The grant money is provided through a fund held by the foundation that was started by the Wapakoneta Eagles Aerie 691.
Grants were given to be used as follows:
City of Wapakoneta Veterans Park – Shelter house roof
City of Wapakoneta Veterans Park – Concession stand/RR roof
Wapakoneta Water Park – Paint for swimming pool
Uniopolis Veterans Park – Shelter house conversion
Cridersville Tower Park – Team benches
Buckland Park – Water fountain
Harmon Field – Fencing
